vs. Edmonton Road Runners
at the Bradley Center
After two periods, the Admirals sure seemed like rude hosts considering they were entertaining a team from Edmonton for the first time ever in Milwaukee. They opened up to a 5-0 lead after 40 minutes and looked like they were on their way to an easy victory until midway through the third period.

Then it was a little bit of deja vú as Milwaukee allowed a goal on a two man disadvantage power play and a second goal with a one man disadvantage on that same power play moments later. Two nights ago, that same thing happened early in the game against Manitoba.

Another thing that happened again, just like in the Manitoba game, was that Milwaukee allowed the least talented player on the opposing roster to score. Tonight it was Rocky Thompson, Wednesday night it was Jimmy Roy. Thompson's goal came just 80 seconds after the second power play goal to give the Runners a glimmer of hope of pulling off a major upset by pulling within two goals of tying the Admirals with plenty of time on the clock.

Coach Noel called timeout after that last embarrassing goal and the team settled in and played a decent defensive game to keep the win intact.

For the 23rd time, an Admiral player (Scottie Upshall) scored two goals this season. The team has yet to achieve a hat trick despite being among the top scoring teams in the league.
