After seeing Houston goaltender Mike Smith start every game against the Admirals this season, the Aeros changed things up by using Josh Harding instead. Brian Finley had the honors for Milwaukee in what turned out to be a goaltenders duel.
As I often complain about, I'm unable to listen to the Milwaukee radio station because I live too far away (even though just about every other station comes in just fine). Therefore, I sat by my computer and watched the live box score.
The teams matched each other shot for shot for the first 50 minutes. The game was scoreless as neither team could penetrate the opposing goalie. With about 10 minutes remaining, I noticed that Houston continued to pour on shots against Finley, while the Admirals were not getting much of anything.
With just under 5 minutes remaining, Matt Foy scored for Houston to win it. Apparently, Finley couldn't hold on to a puck, and Foy was there to knock in the rebound. Finley made a season-high 39 saves, but it wasn't enough.
The Admirals have the next four days off after playing 9 of the last 10 games on the road. They play 17 of the next 22 games at home, with the 5 road games taking place in Chicago, Grand Rapids, and Cincinnati.
