A new format to reduce tie games was utilized.
To settle ties, teams played a 5 minute overtime.
If the game was still tied, a 5 round shootout followed.
If after 5 rounds it remained tied, a second five round shootout was held.
If still tied after 10 shooters, the game would be declared a tie.

Note - this season's standings and statistics are not necessarily correct.
Different sources cite different numbers, and the player stats around the league do not equal
the total of the team stats. Also, the 'tie' column of the standings is a total of one point
games, ties and shootout losses.

The team severed their 2 year deal with Chicago after one season and became affiliated by Boston and Toronto.

Lost to Peoria 4-1

The IHL experimented this season with eliminating the red line in regards to two line passes in order to open up the game. Sound familiar?
