The Admirals made a film called "Fire and Ice", which taught people the basics of hockey. It was available for schools or organizations to borrow for free. They also mailed a free team newsletter to anyone who signed up.

Ticket prices were $3.50/$2.50

The league had a balanced schedule, with each team playing each other six times (3 home, 3 away)
Because they were the defending league champions, Thunder Bay hosted the all star game on January 26.

The league forced the teams to narrow their roster to 20 players on December 30.
