Milwaukee Admirals 22 14 7 1
This is the first season they were known as the Admirals.

The original owner, Reed Fansher, sold the team to a group of investors, including appliance store owner Edwin J. Merar, who renamed the team after a brand of refrigerator that he sold.

According to a November 13, 1970, Milwaukee Journal article, the team was recognized as a Senior Intermediate team in the Amateur Hockey Association of the United States, described as one step below the USHL teams that the Admirals would eventually compete with.

The Admirals hosted a postseason invitational tournament at Wilson Park.
They defeated the Chicago Chargers 16-3 in the first round and won the tournament after beating the Madison Hawks 8-4.

The team started off to a dismal start but salvaged the season with a 12 game unbeaten streak.

Also, in perhaps the first ad the team ever printed in the Journal, the ad's slogan was "Milwaukee's Best Sports Buy" with ticket prices listed as $1.50 for adults and 50 cents for children.
